Self-Rescue using the Paddle Float

Dave is demonstrating how to re-enter your kayak unassisted. There are a few versions of this, but this way is quicker, while avoiding tangling your paddle in the bungee cords if you turn your boat over while trying to get in. Holding your paddle next to the cockpit while keeping pressure on the paddle with your leg adds stability. Stay low when getting up on the boat and getting back in the cockpit.
