In just a few weeks, Rory Wilson of Seattle, WA is going to leave Mission Bay in a rowing vessel that he designed and built. He plans on rowing and sailing (with a kite) to Hawaii. If that goes well, he may continue his voyage to other distant ports!

Rory’s boat will be docked near Aqua Adventures in the days before his departure in mid-September and he has agreed to give a presentation about his adventure at:

Monday, Sept. 17 at 6:30pm!!
We will be able to see the boat fully rigged and stocked for the voyage and we’ll hear about the design and building of the boat as well as plans for the voyage! You may even get a chance to sit at the oars and imagine yourself, alone in the middle of the Pacific, pulling on them for the gazillion-th time!
