April – May 2013
Thursday evenings from May 1st through October 31st, Aqua Adventure’s host a social kayak tour at Aqua Adventures Kayak Center on Mission Bay. No experience necessary! This is a great way to try kayaking for the first time, or to get out on the water on a regular basis and meet other kayakers. Attending a few of these tours will help prepare you for longer kayak trips. These paddles are FREE if you provide your own kayak and gear, or just $15 for kayak rental. This is a “show & go” event – reservations are not accepted.
Please meet about 30 minutes early so we can be on the water at 6pm, sharp! Late-comers will find no one around and everything locked up! We’ll kayak for about two hours. Flashlights are a Coast Guard requirement after dark, so bring one during the fall and spring. You can purchase them here if you forget. While no experience is necessary, this is not an instructional tour and you’ll enjoy it more if you’ve had a basic lesson. Please wear synthetic clothing like nylon, fleece, or polypropylene (Jeans are NOT allowed) and bring a windbreaker. Windbreakers are also available for rent for $5.
