The 29th Annual Peninsula Family YMCA Bay 2 Bay Race and Regatta is scheduled for Saturday, July 7, 2012. Once again, two races will take place for you to choose from. The long course (Approx 15 miles) will begin at Santa Clara point on Mission Bay and will finish at NTC Park in Point Loma* (New location). The short course (Approx 3 mile loop) will begin and finish at NTC Park in Point Loma.
All finish line and post-race festivities have moved to beautiful NTC Park in Point Loma. Our new location will allow us to host an improved post-race event which includes beer garden, vendor displays and demos, and children’s activities. Competitors in the long course will now only have a 10 minute shuttle ride back to the start location to retrieve vehicles. Competitors in the short race will now have their start and finish at the same location.Rental kayaks will be available to those in need of a vessel. Information will be posted on our website on May 1, 2012. All proceeds from the event will go toward the youth swim programs and other aquatic-based activities at the Peninsula YMCA.
